昨日、家に帰って長風呂してパジャマに着替えてくつろいでいたところ、午後9時過ぎにご近所友達のあやちゃんから電話。「今日さー、東京タワーピンクになってるんだけど、見に行かない？午後10時までだからあとちょっとしかないんだけど」と言われる。え？東京タワー？窓の外を見る。あ、確かにピンクだ！そうか、Pink Ribbon Dayだ！あやちゃんは超見たそうで、「一人でいくのも嫌だしさー」と言うし、なんだか面白そうだったから、「じゃあ10分後に！」って事で大至急着替えて待ち合わせ場所へ向かう。
麻布十番のナニワヤ前で会い（すごいローカルな話だなぁ。っていうか自分の支度の早さにびっくり）。あやちゃんはレジャーシートとお菓子まで持ってくる徹底ぶり。タクシーを拾いいざ、タワーへ！間近から見るピンクなタワーはなかなかの圧巻。（写真１）でもタワーの駐車場は同じく見に来た人達と車でいっぱい。ここでレジャーシート広げてぼーっとする勇気と図太さは私達にはなかった。と、そこであやちゃん、「もうちょっとさ、遠くから見たくない？六本木ヒルズの展望台行こうよ！」もうここまで来たら、あやちゃんについて行くよ私は！そんなに徹底的にタワー見たいなら見ようじゃない！って事で今度はヒルズの展望台へ。今回展望台デビュー！いやー、すごいねあそこ。東京ってすごい街だなーと改めて思った。あんなにビルがひしめきあってんだー！と、感心しちゃった。（写真２）
たまにはこういう計画性のない、めっちゃspontaenousな事するのも楽しいね。あやちゃんありがとう！未だに何があなたをそんなに駆り立てていたのかよくわからないけど、楽しかった :P
Came back from work yesterday and had a nice long bath. Got changed to my pyjamas and was watching TV when Aya (my friend who lives close by) calls me suddenly and asks me to go and see Tokyo Tower. Yesterday was Pink Ribbon day when many famous buildings around the world would turn pink to raise awareness for breast cancer. I looked out my window and there it was, a pink Tokyo Tower. I was in my pjs totally ready to go to bed but I figured, "hey why not, sounds kinda fun!" so got changed REAL quickly and met up with Aya at Azabu Juban 10 minutes later.
Hopped on a cab and got to Tokyo Tower, which was REALLY crowded with 100 other people who also decided to go see the pink tower. (Picture 1) Then, Aya suggests we go to the observation deck at the top of Mori Tower in Roppongi Hills. I wasn't sure what was driving her to see Tokyo Tower (she was really really adamant about it!) so badly, but I thought "wow, totally random and spontaneous but why not!" Got to the observation deck (my first time there) and I was really surprised at the view. Wow, Tokyo's pretty amazing! (Picture 2) 360 degrees of amazing scenery. Very cool.
So it was a very random and spontaneous night but a lot of fun. Thank you Aya!
